Be afraid, be very afraid, 20th Century Fox have released the first official trailer for X-Men spin-off, The New Mutants and it’s a frightening new path in the franchise’s story as it delves into its first horror.

Directed by Josh Boone, who co-wrote the screenplay with, Knate Lee, the film will center on angst-driven adventures of a diverse group of teens that include Native American Danielle Moonstar, Scots girl Wolfsbane, a Kentuckian code-named Cannonball, Russian teen Magik, as well as an alien named Warlock.
The trailer has all the staples of a bonafide horror, with screams, sound effects and odd beings protruding from the walls – Very clever and rather apt that it’s been released on Friday the 13th.
Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt, and Alice Braga star in the film which will arrive in early 2018.
Producers are Simon Kinberg, Karen Rosenfelt, Lauren Shuler Donner.
