Jumping off her highly successful outing as Wonder Women, Gal Gadot has entered talks to join Ruin, a film helmed by the Macbeth and Assassin’s Creed director Justin Kurzel.

The film, which is slated as a period revenge thriller, follows an ex-Nazi Captain as he navigates the ruins of post-WWII Germany. Determined to atone for his crimes during the war, he hunts down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.

Penned by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, filming is due to start early 2018 if the film gets the go-ahead, giving Gadot enough time to film her slot in the undisclosed role before heading off to take up her lasso once more to begin filming on Wonder Woman 2. It has also been reported that the role of the Captain has been offered to Christian Bale but he is yet to enter into negotiations for the part.

The revenge thriller will be made by Mad River Pictures, the company run by Marc Butan.

Whilst Gadot already has the superhero sequel waiting in the wings to start filming during the summer of 2018, the rising star Gadot has also recently aligned to join Bradley Cooper in Deeper, the Max Landis-scripted drama that Kornel Mundruczo will direct.; Kurzel is also working on his preparation to make yet another film on the Australian Outlaw, Ned Kelly.

Before all the above is set in mention Gadot will next be seen as the Amazonian warrior in Justice League, which arrives on 17 November.
