Ahead of tonight’s 55th New York Film Festival screening, ‘Mudbound’ director Dee Rees took to the NYFF stage along with lead cast members Carey Mulligan, Mary J. Blige, Jason Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Clarke and Rob Morgan.
Highlights included Dee Rees describing working with Netflix, Carey Mulligan discussing playing a mother for the first time as a new mum in real life.

Official synopsis: In racially divided post-World War II Mississippi, two men – one black and one white – forge a friendship based on their shared war experiences.
Sundance acquired ‘Mudbound’ at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in January and will give it a limited cinema release in the US on 17th November with a simultaneous release on Netflix.
‘Mudbound’ screens at the New York Film festival 12th October with Q&A panel including Dee Rees, Carey Mulligan, Mary J. Blige, Jason Mitchell, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Clarke, and Rob Morgan.
