X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the latest in the ever growing comic book movie franchise, has had its first trailer revealed on James Corden’s Late Late Show.

Set in 1992, nearly ten years after ‘Apocalypse’ as the X-Men have become national heroes. Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) starts sending his X-Men on increasingly dangerous missions until a space-bound rescue sees a solar flare strike the X-Jet, awakening a long-dormant power in Jean Grey.

X-Men writer and producer, Simon Kinberg, makes his directorial debut on the film which stars Sophie Turner as Dark Phoenix and Jessica Chastain as the villain in the cinematic version.

James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Tye Sheridan, Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Olivia Munn also return with Lamar Johnson.
