Universal Pictures has released the chilling trailer for ‘Other Mommy,’ a new horror thriller from producer James Wan and Blumhouse Atomic Monster, the studio behind ‘Backrooms’ and ‘Obsession.’
From breakout genre director Rob Savage, ‘Other Mommy’ plunges audiences into the increasingly terrifying world of Bela, a young girl who forms a relationship with a sinister entity living inside her home. The entity is all the more disturbing because it looks uncannily like Bela’s own mother.
The new trailer teases a nightmarish family horror story as Bela begins to encounter the mysterious figure known as “Other Mommy.” But as the entity’s presence grows stronger, the line between mother and monster begins to blur, leaving Bela trapped in a terrifying situation that threatens to consume her family.
Academy Award® winner Jessica Chastain (It Chapter Two, The Eyes of Tammy Faye) takes on dual roles in the film, playing both Bela’s mother and the sinister manifestation known as Other Mommy.
Jay Duplass (Transparent, Industry) stars as Bela’s father, Daddo, while Arabella Olivia Clark (The Housemaid, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle) plays Bela.
The supporting cast includes Actor Award nominee Dichen Lachman (Severance), Emmy and Tony Award nominee Arian Moayed (Succession) and screen legend Karen Allen, best known for the Indiana Jones films.
