White-House-Down-PosterChanning Tatum and Jamie Foxx will be teaming up to take down terrorists this time next week, with Roland Emmerich’s White House Down just seven days away from hitting the multiplex in the US.

Earlier in the month, we saw an awesome 4-minute extended trailer for the action blockbuster. And with just days left on the clock before the film’s arrival, Sony have released a new clip, via Clevver, giving us a look at Tatum in the midst of action.

In Columbia Pictures’ White House Down, Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

Tatum and Foxx are joined by a terrific cast, starring alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Jake Weber, Lance Reddick, and Joey King.

Emmerich returns to the director’s chair, with a script penned by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man).

White House Down will be hitting US cinemas next Friday, June 28th. Here in the UK, its release date is set for a little later in the year on 6th September, but it looks like it should be worth the wait.
