Lots of Suicide Squad rumours have been doing the rounds lately (you can find them all by clicking here), and now another possible piece of casting news has surfaced. We’ve heard that a number of DC Comics villains will make cameo appearances in the movie, and little known bad guy The Thinker is among them.
According to this new report, Watchmen and RoboCop star Jackie Earle Haley is being eyed for that role!
In the comic books, The Thinker used his incredible intelligence to model the world and predict what would happen. However, his incredible brain came at a price: his brain drains energy from the rest of his body, prematurely ageing him. He manipulates the Suicide Squad from within Belle Reve, forming a second team of villains to combat the first. How much, if any, of that will make it into the movie remains to be seen.
Haley’s involvement is very much a rumour for now, so take this with a pinch of salt until we hear more.
