Some B-Roll footage for Fantastic Four was released earlier this month which revealed that the Fantasticar (the flying car used by the team of heroes in the comics) was at one point going to be in the critically panned reboot. Between that and all those rumoured behind the scenes issues, it’s clear that Fantastic Four was at one point a very different movie.

That’s evident from the following pieces of concept art which have now surfaced online.

Created by Transformers: Age of Extinction and Terminator Genisys artist Steve Jung, he’s revealed what are described as an “exploration of the Planet Zero and Victor’s castle ideations.” We even get to see Doom’s castle (on Planet Zero rather than in Latveria), which is “made out of particles so in some places you can see through and Victor is holding everything together in his mind.” That sounds like a much cooler version of the villain, eh?

It would be very interesting indeed to find out what Fantastic Four was originally supposed to look like, but we probably never will. The movie has become something of a running joke and is one of 2015’s biggest box office flops, so even the future of the franchise is in doubt now.
