Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr., The Thing, a prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter film of the same name, stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Ulrich Thomsen, Eric Christian Olsen and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
Universal are actively looking for a new release date for the science-fiction horror.
It is unknown why it was pulled in the first place.
