Toy-Story-of-TERROR!Timed nicely ahead of Halloween at the end of the month, Pixar’s Toy Story of TERROR! will be premiering on ABC in the US next week, and things are really looking good for the upcoming animated short.

Clocking in at thirty minutes in length, it’s a television special, rather than an official short, and it’s always nice to see Pixar moving in new directions, particularly with a franchise as beloved as Toy Story.

And with just a matter of days before it airs in the States, Pixar has launched the first clip, giving a great little preview of the terrors to come.

Toy Story of TERROR! follows the toys on their road trip, when an unexpected event leads them to a roadside motel. After one of the toys goes missing, the others find themselves caught up in a mysterious sequence of events that must be solved before they all suffer the same fate.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen of course reprise their leading roles voicing Woody and Buzz, with Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Kristen Schaal, and Timothy Dalton returning alongside, and Carl Weathers joining them as the new character, Combat Carl.

After helming the 2011 Pixar short, Small Fry, Angus MacLane will be returning to the franchise for the TV special.

Toy Story of TERROR! will air on ABC on October 16th in the US, and is due to premiere closer to Halloween on 27th October on Sky Movies here in the UK.
