To celebrate the release (finally!) in the UK of the hilarious animation Solar Opposites, we sat down with two of its extraordinary voice cast to chat about the show’s unique nature.
A family of aliens from a better world must take refuge in middle America, and they disagree on whether Earth is awful or awesome. From Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick & Morty, Solar Opposites is both a hilarious and satirical look at America and the view of the outsider coming to the land of the free whilst being a brilliantly biting and culturally relevant show that is as funny as anything on TV right now. Stars Thomas Middleditch and Sean Giambrone chat to us about their first encounters with the scripts, why they fell in love with the concept, and why British audiences may get a big kick out of its absurdity, given how we “wrote the book” on such things.
