To celebrate the hugely anticipated release of Abigail, which arrives in cinemas this week, we had the pleasure of chatting with some of the cast to find out more about this brilliant new spin on a classic tale. Read our glowing review here.

After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl. A brash, blood-thirsty new vision of the vampire flick from Radio Silence—the directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream VI, Ready or Not).

Chatting to Abigail herself Alisha Weird, Melissa Barrera (Joey), Kevin Durand (Peter), and William Catlett (Rickles), we talk all things horror, the real monsters at the heart of the film, Weir’s extraordinary and confident turn in the lead, what classic vampires they have as their favourites, the real bloodbath at the centre of the film (and the blood acting they don’t teach you at acting school) and much, much more.
