Margot-Robbie-and-Leonardo-DiCaprio-in-The-Wolf-of-Wall-StreetMartin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street is officially still in the running for this year’s Oscar race, with Paramount willing to push Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit into January to give Scorsese the Christmas slot in its place.

And with the renowned director reuniting with Leonardo DiCaprio once more, it’s really not surprising that there’s so much buzz surrounding this one.

The studio treated us to the first clip from the movie last week, and now a handful of great images has surfaced, along with two new posters.

A New York stockbroker refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking world and mob infiltration.

DiCaprio is joined by one of the finest casts of the year, starring alongside Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Jean Dujardin, Jon Favreau, Kyle Chandler, Cristin Milioti, Rob Reiner, and Spike Jonze.

Scorsese is directing from a script penned by past collaborator Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos), based on Jordan Belfort’s memoir of the same name.

After starring in more than three hundred episodes of Neighbours, Margot Robbie has very successful made the transition to the big screen, putting in a brilliant performance in Richard Curtis’ About Time just a few months to go.

With The Wolf of Wall Street due out before the year’s end, and a very promising upcoming slate including Suite française, alongside Michelle Williams, Ruth Wilson, and Kristin Scott Thomas; Focus, opposite Will Smith; and Violent Talent, with Toby Kebbell and Garrett Hedlund, her future in features is looking incredibly bright, and very much deservedly so.

The Wolf of Wall Street will be released in the US on Christmas Day, and will follow here in the UK early next year on 17th January. For now, here is the new set of images and posters, all of which you can click through to enlarge.
