Pamela Anderson caught everyone’s attention as C.J. Parker during the 1990s as the face of Baywatch, but the big screen reboot’s decision to cast Kelly Rohrbach in that role is sure to get a whole new generation of pulses racing next year. That’s evident from both the Instagram post from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the set photos in the gallery below!
Also below is a first look at the movie’s villain. The Rock is clearly having the time of his life on the set of Baywatch, and his enthusiastic Instagram posts have been a delight to follow. It’s no wonder then that this movie is one of the few reboots we’re actually excited about!
Directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses), Baywatch revolves around a by-the-book leader of an elite team of lifeguards (Johnson) who’s forced to team with a rule-breaking hotshot (Efron) to save the bay from an oil tycoon (Priyanka Chopra). Set for release on May 19th, 2017, the cast also includes Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, and Hannibal Buress.
