Marvel Studios recently announced the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but was one key name left off that list? It appears so, as Sylvester Stallone has been spotted in the same Atlanta hotel that the rest of the sequel’s cast are staying in. But wait, that’s just a coincidence, right? Well, the Creed star was also seen getting into the same car which is normally used to take Chris Pratt to and from the set, so the evidence is piling up.
Throw in the fact that Stallone was photographed with a script in his hand, and it definitely seems as if he may have landed some sort of secret role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

The big question now of course is who Stallone might be playing. While it’s widely believed that Kurt Russell has landed the role of Star-Lord’s father, what if director James Gunn has some sort of massive swerve planned where the legendary Rocky actor is revealed to be the one who paid a visit to Earth and sired a human son? Unfortunately, that remains to be seen!
What will be interesting now is whether or not Marvel makes this rumour official or will continue to keep it a secret. Alternatively, it’s also impossible that some sort of mistake has been made and Stallone isn’t actually in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, so stay tuned…
