Pre-production is gearing up on 20th Century Fox’s latest installment in the Predator franchise, titled The Predator, and some more casting news has been announced.

X-Men: Apocalypse and Ride Along 2 star Olivia Munn has been added to the cast and she will play a scientist alongside Boyd Holbrook (Narcos), who plays a special forces commando. In addition, the report also states that the film will be set in American “suburbia” and will follow the continuity of the first two films, released in 1987 and 1990 respectively.

The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3 helmer Shane Black (who co-starred in the original alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers) is directing the film as well as co-writing with Fred Dekker (Monster Squad).

Filming is set to start early next year before its February 9th, 2018 opening.
