The first trailer for Steven Spielberg’s latest film, The Post which is inspired by the real events centring on the release of The Pentagon Papers by Daniel Ellsberg in the 1970s.

Directed by Spielberg from a screenplay by Liz Hannah and Josh Springer, Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep head up the cast as Ben Bradlee, the editor of The Washington Post and publisher Kay Graham as they go up against the US Government. Joining Hanks and Streep in the cast are Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Bob Odenkirk, Tracy Letts, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Michael Stuhlbarg and Bradley Whitford.

The film is set for a UK on the 19th of January, and in the US on the 12th of January.
