Today is the first of our interviews from the latest movie to be based on a Nicholas Sparks novel this time called The Lucky One. We have interviews coming up next week with Taylor Shilling and Zac Efron but first up we get to hear from the Captain of the ship, Director Scott Hicks.

Our friend James Kleinmann conducts the interview where he talks to Hicks about how he first got involved in the movie, how the reality of the characters were achieved (a lot of it came from YouTube), why Zac Efron was the best man for the job in the lead role as Logan and how Hicks was involved in the screen writing process since he’s been nominated previously for his work on 1997 movie Shine. The interview is nearly 10 minutes long and is a really fascinating piece which I know you’ll love so scroll down and click play.

The Lucky One is released in the UK 2nd May, is directed by Scott Hicks and also stars Blythe Danner, Taylor Schilling, Jay R. Ferguson, Riley Thomas Stewart, Jillian Batherson.

A Marine travels to North Carolina after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war.
