Marvel has released a new poster for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. by comic book artist Gabriele Dell’Otto (Secret War), and it gives us our best look yet at two of the Inhuman additions to the second half of the season. It’s a stunning piece, and more are expected to follow throughout the course of the remaining episodes.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

In the midseason finale, Agent Triplett was killed off after Skye and the villainous Raina were exposed to the Terrigen Mists deep underground. While the former was revealed to be comic book character Daisy Johnson/Quake, we still don’t know what happened to Raina. Is she a character from the Marvel Universe or something else altogether? We’ll have to wait and see, but a recent promo teased Skye’s transformation.

Introducing the concept of the Terrigen Mists is a direct reference to upcoming Marvel movie, Inhumans, and it appears as if the second half of the season will deal with Skye’s transformation, meaning that the series will finally deal with superpowers. This is a smart move by Marvel following the success of DC’s The Flash.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on March 4th, now that Agent Carter has wrapped up. The series is shown on Channel 4 in the UK and should be back there shortly after its return in the US. The date is unknown.
