Based on the true story of the Alaskan hunt for serial killer Robert Hansen, The Frozen Ground is on the cusp of its release here in the UK.
The last trailer we saw a few days ago somewhat surprisingly focused solely on Nicolas Cage and John Cusack, leaving out Vanessa Hudgens altogether. But now a new trailer has surfaced, via MSN, returning Hudgens to our sights as one of The Frozen Ground’s main characters.
Alaskan State Trooper Jack Halcombe sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen, a serial killer who has gone unnoticed for 13 years. As the bodies of street girls start to pile up in Anchorage, fear strikes a chord with the public. Risking his life, Halcombe goes on a personal manhunt to find the killer before the next body surfaces. When a seventeen year old escapee reveals key information about the case, Halcombe is finally on the trail of the killer. But will he catch him in time to save the next victim?
Curtis (’50 Cent’) Jackson, Dean Norris, Radha Mitchell, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, and Katherine LaNasa complete the cast nicely alongside the leading trio.
Scott Walker is behind the camera, making his feature debut as both writer and director.
The Frozen Ground will be released in the UK next Friday, 19th July, with its US release date following next month on August 23rd in theatres and on VOD.
