After his disastrous debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the chances of Deadpool getting his own movie appeared to evaporate. However, when some fantastic test footage mysteriously leaked online last year, interest in the movie became clear, and Fox ended up giving it the green light and a release date in 2016.

It didn’t take long for Ryan Reynolds to confirm his involvement either, and with just over a year to go until Deadpool reaches cinemas, two actors have emerged as being in early talks to join the cast of the movie.

Tranformers: Age of Extinction and Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller is in talks to play an “additional comic voice to compliment Deadpool”, but there’s no specific details on whether that will be some sort of voiceover role or if he’s going to play an existing comic book character and ally to Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With the Mouth.

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones star Ed Skrein (who’s set to replace Jason Statham in The Transporter Legacy later this year) is being eyed to take on the role of the movie’s villain, but we again have no specifics.

VFX expert Tim Miller will direct, while Zombieland scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penned the script, and X-Men vet Lauren Shuler Donner is producing. Deadpool will be released on February 12th, 2016.
