When CBS decided not to renew Supergirl for a second season, fans started worrying about what was next for the series. Thankfully, Warner Bros. Television decided to move it to The CW, the American network which Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow call home.

Now, a new poster has been released which heralds the iconic hero’s arrival on the channel.

Also below are comments from executive producer Andrew Kreisberg about how the show has evolved and what improvements have been made as we head into the second season.

“We’re so proud of Supergirl last season, but it reminded us, a little bit, of Season 1 of Arrow,” he says. “We knew there was a great show in there and, every once in awhile, we would make it great, but we didn’t know how to do it consistently yet. We really feel like this year, at least for us creatively, we’ve cracked the code and we’re coming out of the gate strong. It’s almost the same trajectory that we had on Arrow, where we started to figure it out towards the back half of Season 1, and we’re coming out of the gate really strong.”

That’s good to hear, especially as the first season of Supergirl was very inconsistent. Despite having some amazing moments which put it right up there with the best episodes of Arrow and The Flash, there was a lot that didn’t work, so this being addressed is definitely a relief.

Supergirl returns to The CW on October 10th and should follow on Sky1 shortly after.
