Star Wars

Star Wars Episode VII has officially begun principal photography in London, and the Bad Robot Twitter account has sent out the following image of a clapperboard to mark this historic occasion.

Star Trek director J.J. Abrams will helm the sequel to 1983’s Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

The cast of the movie includes John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow, and they will join the stars of the original Star Wars saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams wrote the screenplay, while Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

A release date of December 18th, 2015 has been set, and with shooting now underway, we should hopefully start hearing more not only about the cast members they’re yet to add, but also some possible plot details as well. The title is expected to be announced at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.
