With just over a week to go before J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness touches down in UK cinemas, the anticipation is naturally on full for what promises to be one of the biggest and best blockbusters of the year.
Dave and Jon were lucky enough to see an early screening of the film – you can read our spoiler-free review here – and by the sounds of it, the film lives up to its status as one of the must-see movies of the year.

Abrams is directing from a script penned by co-writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek, Transformers) and Damon Lindelof (Prometheus).
Star Trek Into Darkness will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 9th May here in the UK. Its US release date is set for the following week on May 17th, with early screenings in IMAX theatres landing two days before on May 15th. For now, here’s the great new video to set the tone. Enjoy.
