Open Planet Studios has unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated feature documentary ‘How To Live On Earth,’ arriving in select cinemas via Together Films from June 26, 2026.

Presented by BAFTA-winning actor and narrator Benedict Cumberbatch, the documentary will receive its World Premiere on June 22, kicking off London Climate Action Week. It will be followed by special preview screenings.

The newly released trailer offers a first glimpse at what has been described as “the world’s greatest how-to video,” an ambitious and uplifting exploration of how humanity can create a safe, sustainable, and thriving future by working alongside nature rather than against it.

‘How To Live On Earth’ showcases innovative solutions to some of the planet’s most pressing environmental challenges. The film aims to leave audiences energised and hopeful, presenting a future where both people and nature can flourish together.

Rather than focusing solely on the climate crisis, ‘How To Live On Earth’ highlights practical solutions and remarkable examples of humans collaborating with natural systems to improve lives and restore ecosystems.

The documentary presents what it calls the ultimate life hack: discovering how to secure a healthy and prosperous future for humanity while protecting the natural world that sustains us.

Featuring a diverse group of experts and changemakers, the film brings together compelling voices from across environmental science, conservation, food systems, and climate advocacy.

Among the lead contributors are Xiye Bastida, a renowned climate justice activist; Dan O’Neill, a field biologist, explorer, and wildlife filmmaker; and Sam Kass, former White House chef and senior nutrition policy advisor. Through their stories, audiences are invited to discover the extraordinary value of nature and the risks posed by a world without it.
