If there’s one movie you see this month, let it be Iron Man 3. It is just absolutely epic.

The film is already out here in the UK, and will be hitting theatres in North America this Friday. And, naturally, following an incredibly successful opening weekend at the international box office, the estimates are very high for its Stateside release this weekend.

With just days to go before it touches down in the US, Marvel have debuted a handful of awesome new TV spots, keeping the anticipation on high for Friday’s release.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Robert Downey, Jr. is of course back once more as Tony Stark / Iron Man. And he’s joined by an amazing ensemble, led by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Ben Kingsley, Jon Favreau, Ty Simpkins, James Badge Dale, Stephanie Szostak, Shaun Toub, Wang Xueqi, and Fan Bingbing (in the Chinese cut), with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the voice of JARVIS.

Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) is directing from a script he co-wrote with Drew Pearce.

Black and Pearce just utterly nailed it on their first outing in the franchise. Joss Whedon’s The Avengers was a real game-changer for the studio, and for the entire comic book genre, and Black’s Iron Man 3 has done a brilliant job of delivering beyond incredibly high expectations.

Phase Two has got off to an awesome start.

Iron Man 3 is out now in the UK, and will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D this Friday, May 3rd, in the US. Wherever you’re reading this, make sure you go and see this movie as soon as humanly possible. No two ways about it: It is incredible.
