Allison-Williams-in-GirlsHaving made a name for herself with a co-leading role in Lena Dunham and HBO’s Girls, Allison Williams is now set to make her feature debut in Rosaline, and is reportedly also on the short list for the anticipated Fantastic Four reboot.

First up, Deadline report that Williams is in talks to take the titular role of Rosaline, which is a reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet, told from the perspective of Romeo’s jilted ex-lover, Rosaline.

The film is set to be directed by Michael Sucsy (The Vow, Grey Gardens), with a script by co-writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber ((500) Days of Summer).

The project is set up at Fox, with Shawn Levy producing.

The report also notes that Williams is thought to be on the short list for the studio’s Fantastic Four reboot, which is expected to hit theatres in just under two years. And it sounds like they like what they see in the young Williams.

The reboot is still in the early stage of casting, so nothing concrete yet with Williams, as far as we know. And though there’s no specific mention of casting, the likelihood is naturally that she’s in the running for the role of Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, played by Jessica Alba in the original Fantastic Four movies.

Josh Trank (Chronicle) is set to make his sophomore feature behind the camera with the reboot, which is definitely something we’re looking forward to seeing.

Fox have already set a March 6th, 2015 release date for the blockbuster, and here’s to hoping we’ll be hearing some concrete news soon.
