Create-and-Make-Film-Competition-with-BAFTA-Kids-VoteIf you’re a young filmmaker looking to have your cinematic visions become reality then this is the competition for you.

BAFTA Kids have teamed up with Childline and are running the Create & Make Film Competition to find the best ideas for a short film on the theme of Helping a Friend. If you’re between the ages of 7 and 16 you can submit your storyboard to the judging panel and sit back and dream of celluloid glory.

What’s great about this competition, apart from the encouragement of talent and positive message, is that they’ll give you all the help you need. There are story board examples to help you and the open ended nature of the topic means you can do pretty much anything you want.

If your idea is chosen not only will you have the chance to see your story board idea turned into a film, you  will also win a Cineworld Unlimited card which provides free access to Cineworld cinemas for an entire year If that’s not enticement enough you’ll also get a digital video camera.

There are three categories,

  • 7-10
  • 11-13
  • 14-16

Here’s a brief video on how the competition will work,

Your first port of call should be the Childine Create and Make Film Competition home page which you can find here:

You can find out more about Childline’s work here at: http://www.childline.org.uk, and see the competition home page over at BAFTA kids here: .
