Rounding off their hat-trick with 2010 tucked firmly under their belt, Warner Bros. have officially conquered the domestic box office for a third year running.

According to The Wrap, the studio – which released Inception and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I last year – has reported a domestic revenue approaching 1.9 billion for 2010.

Although the domestic market is in fact down $40-$50 million following 2009’s record breaking $10.6 billion haul, Warner Bros. remain triumphant, trouncing rival studios Paramount ($1.7 billion), Fox ($1.6 billion) and Disney ($1.4 billion) with 18.3% market share.

With international totals still being calculated, the battle for foreign box office supremacy is on; Warners and Fox very much leading the way.
