Rising star Angourie Rice is the latest addition to Spider-Man: Homecoming, a movie with a cast which continues to grow each and every week. Once again, there’s no word on who she’s playing, but following her superb performance in The Nice Guys, it would be a shock if the Australian actress isn’t one of the leads (a pretty perfect role for her would be Liz Allen).

Rice joins Tom Holland in the Jon Watts directed Spider-Man reboot, while the supporting cast is made up of the likes of Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, and a number of talented young stars including Zendaya and Tony Revolori. None of the characters they’re playing have been revealed by Marvel Studios.

Chances are that Marvel and/or Sony Pictures will put the spotlight on Spider-Man: Homecoming at Comic-Con later this month, especially as its release date means it will miss the event next year. Whether or not that will be when we finally get some character details remains to be seen, but Rise is a spectacular addition regardless of who she’s playing.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently shooting in Atlanta (the first photos of the wall-crawler in costume recently found their way online), and it’s set to be released on July 7th, 2017.
