class=”alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-30836″ src=”×150.gif” alt=”” width=”220″ height=”150″ /> According to THR, Simon Pegg is in final negotiations to reprise his role as Benji Dunn in M:I – 4.  Despite not having the official greenlight from Paramount, casting in full swing, with production  expected to start at early as September, hoping for a 2011 release. Josh Appelbaum and Andre  Nemec have reportedly written a script ready to shoot.

Brad Bird will be directing this instalment, with JJ Abrams remaining on board in some capacity,  as producer and screenplay-consultant. Tom Cruise has been tapped to return as Ethan Hunt,  especially since his career has been on a downward spiral, not helped by the lacklustre response  to this year’s action-comedy flick, Knight and Day. Rumours have suggested he will be handing the baton on to a younger candidate. However, this has neither been confirmed, nor denied.

Apart from that, details are thin on the ground, but with Pegg expected to make an appearance at Comic-Con, expect details to unravel for this one sooner rather than later.
