We’re just one day away from seeing Sacha Baron Cohen return to the big screen in The Dictator, and everything that we’ve seen over the past few months has been nothing but good news.

If you’re a fan of Baron Cohen’s previous work, it looks like there’s a good chance you’ll love him as General Aladeen in this. Apple have debuted a new extended clip, clocking in at a solid four and a half minutes, to whet your appetites ahead of its release tomorrow.

Co-starring Anna Faris, Sir Ben Kingsley, John C. Reilly, Megan Fox, Jason Mantzoukas, and the great J. B. Smoove, The Dictator tells,

“The heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

Larry Charles (Borat, Brüno) is re-teaming with Baron Cohen once more, with the actor also co-writing the script alongside Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm scribes, Alec Berg, David Mandel, and Jeff Schaffer.

The Dictator will be released tomorrow, 16th May, in both the UK and US. If you’re looking for a controversial comedy this week (and off the top of my head, I can’t remember when a controversial comedy was last in cinemas), this is going to be your safest bet. Here’s the great new extended clip for your viewing pleasure. And if you’d like to watch it in HD, head over to Apple here. Enjoy.
