Runner-Runner-Quad-PosterDepending on which side of the Atlantic you’re on, Brad Furman’s anticipated Runner Runner will be arriving in just over/under a month. And with Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck front and centre, it’s shaping up to be a promising high-stakes crime-thriller.

With just a few more weeks left to go before its arrival, Fox have released a new clip from the film, via Yahoo Movies, teasing a little stand-off between Affleck and Timberlake.

Princeton grad student Richie, believing he’s been swindled, travels to Costa Rica to confront online gambling tycoon Ivan Block. Richie is seduced by Block’s promise of immense wealth, until he learns the disturbing truth about his benefactor. When the FBI tries to coerce Richie to help bring down Block, Richie faces his biggest gamble ever: attempting to outmaneuver the two forces closing in on him.

Affleck and Timberlake star alongside Gemma Arterton, who completes the leading trio. And the three are joined by Anthony Mackie, Oliver Cooper, Ben Schwartz, David Costabile, and Sam Palladio.

Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) is directing from a script written by the writing duo of Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Rounders, Ocean’s Thirteen), with Leonardo DiCaprio and Scott Steindorff producing alongside them.

Runner Runner is set to be released on 27th September here in the UK, with its US release date landing a week later on October 4th.
