With Red Dead Redemption proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Rockstar aren’t a one trick GTA pony, there’s massive anticipation in the lead up to their next project, L.A.Noire.
And this behind the scenes featurette does nothing to lessen the excitement.
The 1940s set gangster/detective thriller displays Rockstar’s obvious care and attention to detail, but it’s the MotionScan technology that blows you away.
In an Avatar-esque display of futuristic, new-fangled face recognition software, Rockstar have painstakingly recorded real actor’s facial movements using 32 high-definition cameras to give the in-game characters an eerily real look.
If it can add the engaging gameplay the studio’s known for with Heavy Rain-style spectacular visuals, we’re in for a treat.
