Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer are hoping that their forthcoming will set a new standard (i.e. it will be good) for films adapted from video games, and now eager PoPers can look forward to seeing their heroes scale city walls and turn back time in giant size IMAX-o-vision.
The IMAX Corporation today told the world that, along with the theatrical release on May the 28th, the Jake Gyllenhaal starring Prince of Perisa: The Sands of Time will launch in its theatres. With the success of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland on the IMAX screens this is no great shock, but with How to Train Your Dragon and Shrek Forever After leading the way for IMAX in the next few months perhaps Prince of Persia will provide a grand enough cinematic landscape to make the IMAX enhancement worthwhile.
