To celebrate the release of Possessor, the acclaimed film that debuted at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, we sat down with its creator and stars to chat about its success so far.

A mix of thriller, sci-fi, horror, Possessor has already found a legion of fans for its originality and uniqueness with audiences lapping it up back in January. Here, we speak to stars Andrea Riseborough and Christopher Abbott about the film’s clear vision and the challenges that come with playing the same person, in some respects.

We also chat with writer/director Brandon Cronenburg about the influences on the film, why he thinks the story will go down well with British audiences and all things 80’s body-swap comedies – not a direct influence on the film, but as fans of such things, we had to mention it!

From the visionary mind of writer/director Brandon Cronenberg, POSSESSOR is an arresting sci-fi thriller about elite, corporate assassin Tasya Vos. Using brain-implant technology, Vos takes control of other people’s bodies to execute high profile targets. As she sinks deeper into her latest assignment Vos becomes trapped inside a mind that threatens to obliterate her.

Possessor is released in US cinemas on October 2nd and plays as part of the 2020 BFI London Film Festival in October.
