Nicole Holofcener’s last film Friends with Money was a fairly successful take on life and love in the big city, and her previous form includes a scattering of episodes of Sex and The City, so there’s a fairly consistent line in the writer/director’s career.

Her latest film reunites her with FwM star Catherine Keener and gathers a pretty great supporting cast of Oliver Platt, Amanda Peet and the effervescent Rebecca Hall and tells the story of a successful New York couple crippled by liberal guilt and a less conscientious teenage daughter.

The trailer, embedded below, offers up a lot of choice cuts from this film, and the cast is what will draw you in. Any New York character based comedy which has been labeled acerbic will draw comparisons with Woody Allen, and when this film is out in the UK on the ?18th June so you can judge for yourselves.
