One time Bond Pierce Brosnan seems to have caught the musical fever yet again after it has emerged he will be joining Sony Pictures ‘Cinderella’.
Brosnan will join Camila Cabello, Billy Porter and Idina Menzel in the new version of the classic tale.
The retelling of the fairy tale comes from ‘Blockers’ writer-director Kay Cannon with Brosnan set to play the kingdom’s king and father to the handsome Prince Robert (Nicholas Galitzine) – the love interest of Camila Cabello’s Cinderella who this time out is an ambitious young woman with dreams bigger than the world will allow.

Billy Porter will play the fairy godmother and Menzel is the evil stepmother. James Corden, who is credited with the original idea for the project, is producing the feature project with Leo Pearlman, his partner at Fulwell 73. Jonathan Kadin and Shannon McIntosh will also produce.
Brosnan got his big break in the 1982 series ‘Remington Steel’, In 1994, Brosnan became the fifth actor to play the secret agent James Bond. He played the role until 2002 starring in ‘GoldenEye’, ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, ‘The World Is Not Enough’ and ‘Die Another Die’. Brosnan also starred in the musical ‘Mamma Mia’ and it’s sequel with Meryl Streep. He also starred in ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ alongside Robin Williams.
Other films Brosnan has appeared in most recently are ‘The Only Living Boy in New York’, ‘Spinning Man’ and ‘Final Score’. His upcoming films include ‘The Kings Daughter’ and ‘Eurovision’.
