Woody Allen’s European sojourn continues this year when his latest, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, his latest film to be shot in London, is out in cinemas with a pretty impressive cast list including Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts and Slumdog’s Freida Pinto.

Hitting a creative and critical high point in recent years with Match Point, Allen’s film-a-year schedule has resulted in a few of his subsequent films not displaying the Allen magic, though Vicky Christina Barcelona was one of the finest of his long career.

The strength of Allen’s reputation always means there’s a wealth of the hottest talent lining up to work with him, and in his next project – of course Untitled at present, has found a new face.

Owen Wilson, whose voice has been heard recently in Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr Fox and will again be heard as Marmaduke (sigh), has reportedly signed up to work with Allen and he will join the French President’s Wife (not a bad title for the film actually…) Carla Bruni-Sarkozy in the film.
