There had been a call from die-hard fans of Bond to delay the theatrical release of ‘No Time To Die’ due to the outbreak of Coronavirus could see dwindling numbers heading to cinemas. Now, the makers behind the latest in the franchise have succumbed moving its release until November 2020.

The makers made the announcment via the James Bond Twitter account;

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of ‘NO TIME TO DIE’ will be postponed until November 2020”

The first picture to delay its release could open the gates for other major studios to follow suit with there tentpole releases.

‘No Time To Die’, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Cary Joji Fukunaga is at the helm of the 25th outing for the suave British spy which is written by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade (Spectre, Skyfall), Cary Joji Fukunaga, Scott Z. Burns (Contagion, The Bourne Ultimatum) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Killing Eve, Fleabag).

Daniel Craig returns for his fifth film as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007. Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, Dali Benssalah with Jeffrey Wright and Ralph Fiennes all co-star along Craig.
