To celebrate the release of No Hard Feelings, this summer’s big original comedy arriving in cinemas this week, we sat down with the star of the film and the director to find out more.

Maddie (Jennifer Lawrence) thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.

Chatting to star Andrew Barth Feldman, who plays Percy, we talk r-rated humour, working with Lawrence and seeing her perform comedy after many false starts, the messages the film portrays about 21st-century teenage life and all its intricacies, the themes of male emotions, performing his own stunts and more.

Next, director Gene Stupnitsky tells us about the article that formed the idea for the film, pushing the boundaries of comedy, embracing the R-rated nature of the film and pushing it for theatrical, Lawrence’s comedic timings, Feldman’s casting, and his abandoned Ghostbusters 3 story…
