We’re getting closer to finding out exactly what happened to our world to faciliate the simian overthrow and there’s a further TV spot and trailer out today for Rupert Wyatt’s film which we’d like very much to share with you.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes doesn’t so much trip off the tongue as fall gracelessly out of the mouth but this prequel has a lot of mometum building after some excellent video footage and the intial live stream WETA discussion was a brave and bold move, which did much to sell the film to people.
What I’m looking forward to most is to see how the director blends the action and the drama of the story, something he spoke on very recently and while Fox are, quite rightly, pushing the visual effects and WETA’s work may well mark a new benchmark for a computer generated leading character.
Time will tell, and we’ve got more to tell on the new Apes film but in the meantime here’s a new TV spot and Trailer.
