I’d not heard of Monsters until today as Empire have released a brand new poster for the movie which seems to have the feel of Cloverfield and District 9.
Monsters is directed and written by Gareth Edwards and stars Whitney Able and Scoot McNairy. We reviewed the film when it was shown at the Edinburgh Film Festival, our review is here.
Empire also give us a plot: Six years ago, a NASA probe landed back in the New Mexico desert containing samples of alien life – which promptly grew, proliferated and turned the southern US and north of Mexico into an alien-occupied zone. Now, a US journalist agrees to escort an American tourist back through the no-man’s land to safety.
Monsters is due for release November 12th and from these new images, looks like it could be rather cool!
