Promising to be one of the biggest horror films this Halloween, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is the sequel to the 2006 original, based on the immensely popular survival horror video games.

We caught the first trailer over the summer, teasing an adrenaline-fuelled terror coming our way this month, and now Yahoo Movies have released a great little motion poster, culminating in a rather sinister/horrifying giant clown face, that gives a nice moving update to the recently-released poster below.

“Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.”

Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is behind the camera this time around, directing from his own script, with a host of new and old faces alike, headed up by Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Sean Bean, Carrie-Anne Moss, Radha Mitchell, and Malcolm McDowell – a pretty impressive horror cast.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will be released in the US on 26th October, before coming to the UK the following Wednesday on Halloween itself, 31st October. If you’re looking for a scare/thrill at the end of the month, this looks to be a solid choice. Here’s the new motion poster to get your blood pumping, followed by the original, which you can click to enlarge.
