Released in the UK this weekend, and in a few weeks’ time in the US, we’ve seen a handful of things already – mostly expectedly red-band in rating – from Piranha 3DD, the sequel to 2010’s horror-comedy success, Piranha 3D.

Directed by John Gulager (Feast) from a script co-written by frequent collaborators Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (Feast, Saw IV – Saw 3D), the film stars Christopher Lloyd once more, alongside a host of fresh and familiar faces, including Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer, Katrina Bowden, Gary Busey, Danielle Panabaker, and David Hasselhoff, a.k.a. The Hoff.

And now a new clip has made its way online ahead of its release this weekend.

“Christopher Lloyd (“Back to the Future” films) reprises his role as the eccentric piranha expert with survivor Paul Scheer (“The League”) and a partially devoured Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) back for more fish frenzy. David Hasselhoff trades in the sandy beaches of “Baywatch” to be a celebrity lifeguard at the racy water park. Prepare for double the terror, double the action and double the D’s in this sequel also starring Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka and David Koechner.”

Piranha 3DD will be released in the UK this Friday, 11th May, before heading to the US in a few weeks on 1st June. Its release here sees it going up against Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows and Jeff, Who Lives At Home, whilst its US release will be going up against Bachelorette and Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, so I have a feeling that this sequel may not be topping the box office, but will quite probably be coming in second or third, and doing good business judging from the first film’s success. For now, your new clip, featuring David Hasselhoff.
