Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein) made her directorial debut this year with Friends with Kids, and assembled a fantastic cast to star alongside her, headed up by Adam Scott, Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, Chris O’Dowd, and Maya Rudolph.
Following its summer release here in the UK, the film is released on DVD and Bl-ray on our shores today, and we’ve been sent a new clip to share, featuring the leading cast alongside the excellent supporting cast, Megan Fox and Ed Burns.
“A close-knit circle of friends are at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes. The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.”
Westfeldt is directing from her own script, and also serves as producer, alongside her real-life partner, Jon Hamm, who is always an absolute delight to watch.
I missed the film when it was in theatres over the summer, and I’m looking forward to seeing it now that it’s arrived on home entertainment release. Here’s to hoping that we’ll be hearing more from Westfeldt soon on a return behind the camera.
