Amazon MGM Studios has dropped the first teaser trailer for the psychological thriller ‘Verity.’ Based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover, the film dives headfirst into a world where truth feels optional, and every page turned might bite back.

At the centre of the story is Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway, a celebrated author whose brilliance carries a shadow. Enter Lowen Ashleigh, portrayed by Dakota Johnson, a struggling writer who is handed a career-saving opportunity: to finish Verity’s book series after a mysterious accident leaves the author unable to do so.

Lowen relocates to the isolated Crawford estate, a place that seems to hum with secrets. While sorting through Verity’s notes, she uncovers a manuscript that reads like a confession… or perhaps a performance. What follows is a psychological tug-of-war between what’s written, what’s real, and what’s dangerously enticing.

As Lowen grows closer to Verity’s husband, Jeremy, played by Josh Hartnett, the lines blur even further. Attraction and suspicion coil together, tightening with every revelation.

Joining the central trio is a strong supporting cast, including Ismael Cruz Córdova, Brady Wagner, Irina Dvorovenko, K.K. Moggie, Michael Abbott Jr., and Alex Cooper. Behind the camera, Michael Showalter directs from a script by Nick Antosca.
