This evening, Joe and Colin headed off to London’s Leicester Square for the World premiere of Nativity 2 (Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger). The first movie starred Martin Freeman who has now moved onto a small movie based on The Hobbit with a chap called Peter Jackson but fear not as David Tennant has filled the a-list shoes and he was on the carpet this evening. Our interview with him unveiled some info as to why he took on the role, what it was like playing two characters and acting opposite himself and as much as he tried, Joe was unable to get any info on the Postman Pat movie from him.

David’s interview is below along with fellow cast-members Jessica Hynes (who reveals she won’t be making a cameo in At World’s End which is a real shame), Marc Wootton, Joanna Page, Jason Watkins, Ian McNeice and Ben Wilby. The remaining interviews will be added as soon as they’re edited and uploaded.

Nativity 2 is released next Friday 23rd November and we’ll have more interviews from the junket coming next week. For now though, here’s our interviews from the red carpet.

This Christmas, the unforgettable pupils of St. Bernadette’s are heading to Wales to compete in the National choir contest; “A song for Christmas’.  New supply teacher Mr Peterson (David Tennant) has the unenviable task of trying to curb the hysterical enthusiasm of the kids – not to mention Mr Poppy (Marc Wootton) – but reluctantly finds himself getting swept along!

St. Bernadette’s hit the road (without parental permission!) in an amphibious tour bus crammed to the heavens with Angels, Shepherds and an unaccompanied baby!  Hot on their heels are their arch rivals Oakmoor and this year’s new challengers St Cuthbert’s College, led by Mr Peterson’s golden boy identical twin brother. Over land and water, charting mountains and caves and with a donkey in tow, the gang learn to conquer their fears, work as a team and trust their new teacher. However, time is running out and the singing competition does not accept latecomers….

Under the stars on one magical night the sparkle and shine of Christmas once again comes to life in NATIVITY 2: DANGER IN THE MANGER!
