Mr.-Peabody-&-Sherman

Bastille has had a brilliant year, riding high on their success following the release of their debut album, Bad Blood, and like Macklemore has done in recent months, the band’s work is starting to be heard over movie trailers. DreamWorks has launched a new UK trailer for Mr. Peabody & Sherman, with the second half brilliantly boosted by Bastille’s stellar single, Pompeii.

The animated blockbuster promises to be one of the best of next year, and certainly has the potential to launch a new franchise for the studio.

Mr. Peabody, the most accomplished dog in the world, and his mischievous boy Sherman, use their time machine—the Wabac—to go on the most outrageous adventures known to man or dog. But when Sherman takes the Wabac out for a joyride to impress his friend Penny, they accidently rip a hole in the universe, wreaking havoc on the most important events in world history. Before they forever alter the past, present and future, Mr. Peabody must come to their rescue, ultimately facing the most daunting challenge of any era: figuring out how to be a parent. Together, the time-traveling trio will make their mark on history.

Ty Burrell and Max Charles lead the voice cast as the eponymous Mr. Peabody & Sherman, alongside Stephen Colbert, Ellie Kemper, Ariel Winter, Allison Janney, Stephen Tobolowsky, Mel Brooks, Leslie Mann, Dennis Haysbert, and Stanley Tucci.

The Lion King’s Rob Minkoff directs from a script written by Emmy nominee Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost), based on the original characters from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman will be released in 3D on 7th February, 2014 in the UK, with its US release date following a month later on March 7th.
