Mr.-Peabody-&-ShermanIn celebration of the wildly anticipated 50th Anniversary Special for Dr. Who, DreamWorks has launched a new trailer for next year’s animated blockbuster, Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

The first trailer arrived just a few weeks ago, giving a brilliant first look at what’s coming our way early next year. And now this new trailer – officially labelled a featurette, but really it’s all footage – teases still more from what is set to be a big win amongst family audiences.

Mr. Peabody, the most accomplished dog in the world, and his mischievous boy Sherman, use their time machine—the Wabac—to go on the most outrageous adventures known to man or dog. But when Sherman takes the Wabac out for a joyride to impress his friend Penny, they accidently rip a hole in the universe, wreaking havoc on the most important events in world history. Before they forever alter the past, present and future, Mr. Peabody must come to their rescue, ultimately facing the most daunting challenge of any era: figuring out how to be a parent. Together, the time-traveling trio will make their mark on history.

Ty Burrell and Max Charles lead the voice cast as the eponymous Mr. Peabody and Sherman, with Stephen Colbert, Ellie Kemper, Ariel Winter, Allison Janney, Stephen Tobolowsky, Mel Brooks, Leslie Mann, and Stanley Tucci starring alongside them.

Rob Minkoff (The Lion King) is directing from a script penned by Craight Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost), with the original characters coming from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman will be released in 3D on 7th February, 2014 in the UK, with its US release date following a few weeks later on March 7th. In the meantime, here’s the new trailer to feast your eyes on.
